As part of a help drive, a charity run by Turkey’s top religious authority has delivered over 1,700 houses to war victims in Syria. The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation provided continuous assistance to war victims in all regions, from providing food, shelter to education in Syria since the beginning of the civil war, 2011, said a statement released by the charity organization. TDV supplied 1,753 homes to Syrian families as part of the One Goodness, A Warm Home Initiative, which was launched by TDV in January to provide a warm home and a more organized existence for families struggling to live in tent cities, the report added. Ihsan Acik, the second chairman of TDV’s board of trustees, said the Turkish nation was serving as a bridge to help the exploited and victims, it said. Acik stated that 1,753 houses were constructed in Syria’s Idlib and Azez regions as part of the project and delivered to families thanks to the help of various non-governmental organizations from Turkey and abroad.

We have also begun the building of 1,000 residences for goodness. We aim to complete 5,000 homes in the area and deliver them to families,” he said. “Our homes, which are constructed on 30 square meters in size, 1 + 1 with kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, are insulated from all kinds of bad weather conditions, offering our families a healthier chance for life,” he added. He emphasized that because of the civil war, families forced to migrate did not have a place to migrate,” he got to add.
