“We can claim today that, with its weapons and all that it has, we can fight violence,” said Mohammad Ali al-Houthi. He added that even the Western media acknowledged that the Saudi radar system was ‘blind’ after failing on many occasions to intercept Yemeni drones and missiles. In retaliation for the regime’s continuing brutality against the ravaged Arab nation, Yemeni forces have repeatedly used homegrown ballistic missiles and drones to strike targets in Riyadh.

In March 2015, Saudi Arabia and a coalition of its vassal states launched a war against Yemen in an effort to reinstall a former regime supported by Riyadh. However, thanks to strong resistance by the Ansarullah-led Yemeni army, the alliance has accomplished none of its goals. Together with a naval blockade, Saudi military intervention has killed hundreds of thousands of civilians and thrown Yemen into what the UN claims is the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
